It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey meant to highlight books you read in the past week, and what you’re planning on reading this week.
By now, you’ve probably heard that Amazon bought Goodreads last week. I find it troubling because of the mass of data about our reading habits that Amazon will now own. I’ve put so much time into Goodreads that I’m afraid to give it up, so for now I will wait to see what happens. I’m interested in others’ thoughts on this, though, so please let me know in the comments. Do you care? Are you considering deleting your Goodreads account? Do you have a good alternative?
It’s been cold here this week, but is finally starting to warm up this weekend. It feels glorious! I can go outside without my heavy coat, mittens, and scarf. I also played a concert last night with my jazz band. It was a dinner/dance event, so we played three sets of mostly swing music and had dancers boogieing away.
Finished:
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
Scowler by Daniel Kraus
If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch
Continuing to read:
The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa
How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr (audiobook)
Hoping to finish:
Arclight by Josin L. McQuein
The Radleys by Matt Haig (audiobook)
Escape Theory by Margaux Froley
Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi
Reviews posted:
Bones Never Lie by Elizabeth MacLeod
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
What are you reading this week?
The Mafi books are catching my attention. I did just finish Delirium (A little late to the game) and I loved it.
I’m not terribly concerned yet about Goodreads. Yet.
Here’s my It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
The 5th Wave is coming up on my reading list, so I hope you enjoyed it! I read Escape Theory a couple weeks back and enjoyed it. Hope you get to all your books this week!
The Monster Report
I’m going to read The Eternity Cure as soon as I get through my current TBR pile. Hope you enjoy it!
Take a look at what I’m reading this week.
I’m doing the same thing about Goodreads…taking the wait and see approach for now. I’m a bit nervous :/
Have another fabulous week of reading!
Ooo The Radleys book sounds good!!
Goodreads, I don’t know what to do. I have a Librarything account but its not the same.
Off topic a bit, but I remember one Easter I dyed all my eggs with the names of the characters in To Kill a Mockingbird, lol.
