In My Bookbag #57

Welcome again to In My Bookbag. This is my version of In My Mailbox, a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren.

Phew! I tried to be more selective at BEA this year, but still brought home a ton of books! I’ll be dividing up posting about them, so this post won’t be toooo long.

But first, some fantastic NetGalley titles arrived prior to BEA!

From NetGalley:

Butter by Erin Jode Lange
Freaks Like Us by Alexandra Bracken
League of Strays by L.B. Schulman
Bad Glass by Richard E. Gropp

Thanks to Bloomsbury Publishing, Abrams, and Del Rey Spectra!

And now for some BEA books! I’m still waiting for one box to arrive on Monday, and am so excited to pick through and remember what I picked up :-)

Fool by Frederick G. Dillen
The Last Dragonslayer by Jasper Fforde
Perry’s Killer Playlist by Joe Schreiber
Undead by Kristy McKay

Heaven Should Fall by Rebecca Coleman
Unbored by Joshua Glenn & Elizabeth Foy Larsen
Life Among Giants by Bill Roorbach
Eve & Adam by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate

Ten by Gretchen McNeil
The Great Unexpected by Sharon Creech
The Infects by Sean Beaudoin
The High-Skies Adventures of Blue Jay the Pirate by Scott Nash

Huge thanks to AmazonEncore, Candlewick Press, HarperCollins, Bloomsbury, Mira, Houghton Mifflin Books for Children, Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Scholastic, Balzer + Bray, and Feiwel & Friends!

Let me know what you got in the comments! Do any of these books look like something you want to read? What are you most excited about?

I’m really excited for Freaks Like Us and The Last Dragonslayer (I loved Jasper Fforde’s Thursday Next series). Now I have lots of other books to check out! So glad you link them to goodreads. ;)

I’m excited too! I’ve never read anything by Fforde, but I’ve heard good things. And I’m really happy to hear that linking to Goodreads helps. It’s either that or Amazon, and I think Goodreads helps more people :-)

Glad to see that I’m not the only one who tried to be selective at BEA, but still managed to bring home tons of books! I’m still sorting through mine, and know it’s going to be a hard choice choosing what to read next. Enjoy all of your new books!

I also got League of Strays from NetGalley. It looks weird/interesting, so I can’t wait to get to it. I’ve learned that there’s no such thing as selective at BEA – you still end up coming home with a metric ton of books!

  4. One of these years I’m going to be able to go to BEA. Hope you enjoy all the books you got :) . Check out what I got this week!

Ten looks soooo awesome! I need to add it to my TBR list :)

The author of Ten, Gretchen McNeil, was super nice and awesome too. I’m a total fan after meeting her.

So jealous of your copy of Eve & Adam! I love Michael Grant!

Care to check out my IMM/Stacking the Shelves?
    Have a great week!
