It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? #47

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey meant to highlight books you read in the past week, and what you’re planning on reading this week.

It was another busy week over here. I had a concert on Friday night with my community band, and it was St. Patrick’s Day themed. I always feel like that holiday is a much bigger deal in Boston than it was in Southern California. Does anybody else really get into celebrating?

Finished:
Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood
Ripper by Amy Carol Reeves
172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling (audiobook)

Continuing to read:
Deadly Valentines by Jeffrey Gusfield
11/22/63 by Stephen King

Hoping to finish:
The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater (on audiobook)–I’m about halfway through
Black Heart by Holly Black
After the Snow by S.D. Crockett

What are your reading plans this week?

Yeah, I took a break from listening to Scorpio Races last week because I was getting really bored with it. It’s slow, and I just wasn’t in the mood. I’ll try to finish this week, though.

  2. I loved Born Wicked, I hope you did too. Have a great reading week!

  3. That King book is a booger to get through isn’t it?

    Have a great reading week!

I just wish I had a week-long vacation with nothing to do but read it. I like what I’ve read so far, but the length is making me hesitant to take it up again. I might eventually just get the audio. It’s also too big to cart around on the train with me.

    Ripper is on my wishlist.

The most surprising and rewarding book I read this week was The Wednesdays by Julie Bourbeau via NetGalley. Please come see what else I’m reading.
